I love the world of internet.
I value her social platforms, the endless possibilities and the connection.
I love the real world. I value her wideness, her shapes, sizes, colours and perfumes and the fascinating beauty of the real. natural. authentically. raw. unmistakably. relentlessly. tangible ways she shows up.
I love it all.
And when you love something it’s a small step to also wanting it all. And from there to feel the pressure of using it, doing it and experiencing it all because you can. Finding yourself trapped in the fear of missing out and not making the best of your life.
Yes, you can get rich on the internet. You can climb that mountain, learn that language, become an expert in something and home teach your kids while also volunteer in you community and make all your dinners from scratch with the foods you harvest from your own garden.
But because you love it and you have the opportunity, the possibility to do it, it doesn’t mean you need to make it happen for real.
I show up on social media when I feel like it,
I stay offline when I feel like it,
I go out to smell the fresh air when I feel like it,
I go take a hike,
I commend to a post,
I share a story,
I eat a hamburger,
I drink my tea,
I take my vitamins,
I reach out,
I show up,
I do yoga,
I’ll be silent,
when I feel like it and in a way that feels best to me.
